As one of the most recognizable and innovative culinary figures in the world, the James Beard Award-winning, Michelin-starred chef is known as the leading proponent of modernist gastronomy in America. He has received numerous accolades and acclaim for his landmark restaurant wd~50 and his East Village restaurant Alder. Celebrity chef Wylie Dufresne has turned his attention to New York’s favorite food: At his renowned Flatiron District pizzeria, Stretch, Wylie stays true to what New Yorkers love about their hometown pies—that distinctive crunchy, chewy crust—but he stretches the menu well beyond the classics. Since the restaurant opened last year, it has earned multiple accolades, including #24 in the world at The Best Pizza Awards 2024 and a spot on the 50 Top Pizza USA “Excellent Pizzerias” list. Wylie is a frequent guest judge on cooking competitions and has appeared as himself in several TV series including The Simpsons, Billions and The Bear.
