Leonardo “Lenny” Rago is an American pizzaiolo, entrepreneur, and co-owner of Panino's Pizza - Chicago, Panino's Pizzeria - Park Ridge, and Panino's Pizzeria - Evanston — a family-run Italian restaurant group in the Chicago area known for its award-winning pizzas and traditional Italian cuisine. Rago began working in the pizza business as a teenager and rose through the ranks by honing his craft over decades. Alongside his partners (including his brother Gino Rago and cousin Bruno Brunetti), he helped build Panino’s into a respected local institution that competes nationally in pizza competitions as part of the United States Pizza Team. Rago has earned top honors in multiple pizza contests, including first-place wins for his deep-dish and tavern-style pizzas, showcasing his passion for both classic Chicago and artisanal pizza styles.
