Chef and host Elena Besser meets two trailblazing pizza makers breaking barriers in the culinary world. First, she visits Don Antonio restaurant in New York City helmed by owner Giorgia Caporuscio, the youngest female pizza maker to win the Caputo Cup, one of Italy’s largest pizza making competitions. Giorgia teaches Elena the artistry behind crafting an authentic Neapolitan pizza and an Italian street food favorite: fried pizza. Elena then travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma to meet Tara Hattan of Zasa’s Pizza & Wings, who is wowing the pizza world with her incredible dough tossing skills as a pizza acrobat. Tara shows Elena gearing up for her next big competition at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas and tries some pretty unusual pizzas along the way.
